I have been teaching piano and bass guitar to students for almost 10 years. I am a 4.0 student who has mastered the ability to study efficiently. In 2010, I was awarded a teaching assistantship at the University of New Mexico where I was asked to teach 2 undergraduate classes in communication. However, I rejected this position as I accepted a Master's program at a different University, but underwent the training required for TA's at UNM.
I believe that students learn best in an environment that promotes encouragement and relational interaction with their tutors. While I believe in creating a stress free, fun environment, I believe in helping students set their own rigorous goals. I am skilled at helping students create plans that help them achieve the goals they have in their education. My style could be described as a combination of structured organization and stress free fun.

Math, Science & Microsoft Excel tutor

On-the-job math is almost always done using Microsoft Excel, so I can show you how to do almost anything on a spreadsheet. Ive been a TV broadcast engineer, and taught video production in a public high school. Ive been an avionics technician, a solar PV installer & designer, and a thermal analyst for solar buildings. In most jobs Ive ever held, I ended up being the one who trains new people...just because I love to help people learn things.
I have two technical-college degrees, I worked my way through both of them being a math tutor, and have used math and science in some way in every job I've ever held. In December 2009, I graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh with a BBA in Economics. While in school, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor for an introduction to business course, formulating and providing lessons to a group of undergraduate students. I also tutored individuals in both business and math. Additionally, I have several years of experience as a private music instructor, teaching lesson for guitar and music theory.
