I am a Harvard graduate who has always sought academic excellence. I have a bachelor degree in Government and a secondary degree in Economics. I have a lot of experience in research and writing as my first career after college involved business planning. I have worked as a tutor for college freshmen and I ran a non-profit summer tutoring program teaching middle school students math, science, English, and history. In addition, I made the Academic All-State team and won Scholar/Athlete of the year for the state of Florida in 2000.

A Little Bit About Me...

I acheived a B. S. in Education in 1975. My major was Spanish with a minor in French. My personal goals as an undergraduate was to obtain an education that would allow me to work in education and business as an educated professional. I continued my education with post graduate studies in business and healthcare science. I worked toward adding science to my teaching certificate in the 1980s. I have worked with children of all ages both at home and in schools as well as adults.
I prefer to teach in a classroom environment with a structure and learning standards. I can also teach in a one on one tutoring session. My college experience in the subjects of Economics, Government, Language, Math, Science, and Social Studies was rigorous. After finishing undergraduate courses, I worked for a program that sent college students out to public schools to be Teacher's Aids. We were expected to help any students who were falling behind in a subject. The experience was so rewarding that after graduation, I took a position working with troubled students convicted of sexual assault, teaching them math and science for six months. That time was more challenging since students had wide-ranging ages and special needs. I learned how to work with I.E.Ps. Later, I worked as a tutor/teacher at a middle school in L.A. This assignment was my longest and most memorable.
