I am a dynamic teaher who believes in a hands on, interactive approach to teaching. Lots of give and take, as well as open ended questioning. The importance of learning vs. teaching is a constant in my method. A student asked me once, was my job to pass, or fail everyone. I responded that my job was to educate.

My two and half years of teaching math and physics in high school as well as 8 years of college teaching taught me a great deal about encouraging learning. I also believe that my ability to communicate makes me especially well suited to help students achieve academically. My experiences dramatically improved and expanded my communication skills since I was constantly meeting new people and discussing different topics. I have been a substitute and long-term substitute in SFPS since Oct., 2009. This has been a real eye-opener about the American public schools. I will be taking New Mexico licensure exam June 5th, 2010. This will enable me to apply for an internship licensure.
