My style is to give detailed examples and descriptions and then let the students try to work through the problems I have selected for them. Throughout a given session I coach the students by answering all their questions along the way and providing positive feedback. Through this method I hope for each student to increase their proficiency in the material by the end of the session. Each new session is begun with a review of the previously learned material. I like to teach by example and immersion. So much of what schools preach today is rote memorization, and to a certain degree, this cannot be avoided. But whenever possible, I like to try and find real world applications and demonstrations to get my lessons across to my pupil.
