I have worked with students of all grade levels from volunteering at the Cocopah Head Start preschool to working with high school students as a substitute teacher. I have an English as a Second Language endorsement and have worked with adults in improving the English level. I excell in creative writing and am currently assisting friends in obtaining their GED.
I believe in Howard Garner's theory of teaching to the student style of learning. They are as follows: Visual, Auditory, Musical, Kinesthetic, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal. A Little Bit About Me...

As a daughter of an elementary education teacher, I have been driven by a passion to teach children in areas where they show need. I am in my second year in Northern Arizona University with junior credits. My major is in Sociology, but I believe that helps me in pin-pointing the most important aspects of helping children individually in different social settings. I have done tutoring before, but never with a school district. I believe that every child has a unique way of learning and I am capable and flexible in showing them the different ways in which they can learn. A Little Bit About Me...

I greatly enjoy working with children. I feel that every child absorbs information differently and a teacher should be able to identify and relate to that child. I also feel that a good teacher makes learning fun and exciting. As a teacher you should be able to gain and maintain a child’s attention in order to pass the information successfully.
