Recognizing that each person has his/her own learning style, I emphasize "application" of material learned. I prefer special needs students because I enjoy finding what works for a learner and working around their preferences - and special needs children will often tell you, directly or not, their learning style. However, this is not to say it is difficult for me to teach children without special needs.
