Having graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry I have always been passionate about the sciences and getting others excited about them as well. I was awarded a number of grants to perform research projects while in college and from that became familiar with collecting information and having to be extremely detail-oriented. I have developed skills in being an analytical thinker due to taking courses involving identifying microorganisms and disease research. I am a very organized as well as time oriented person. I graduated with an M.Ed. in Higher Education and Student Affairs from the University of South Carolina in May of 2010. Directly after graduating, I began a career as an Academic Advisor in the Moore School of Business Undergraduate Division at the University of South Carolina. I currently still hold this job. I also taught a University 101 course to 25 incoming freshmen in the Fall of 2010. This course included helping the students get acquainted with resources on campus, learn study/time management strategies, and much more.
