I am a "Highly Effective" Michigan certified teacher in the area of Learning Disabilities, Secondary English, and Secondary Social Studies. I prefer to work with students who are dyslexic or have a language processing problem. I currently teach high school English with a focus on writing. I have a love for learning and teaching!

I have been teaching special education for six years. I taught special education to kindergarten through third grade in a Montessori school for four years. My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I have been a Special Educator for 40 years. I currently work with students in a Career Center. Many of these students have ADD/ADHD. I assist them with study skills and organizational skills. I have worked with all age groups over my career.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Special Education from Wayne State University. I also have a Masters of Arts in Education also from Wayne State University. Critical thinking skills and untraditional ways are what I focus on. However the way someone learns, I will try to set the individual up to show how they learn and work with them.
