Enthusatic elementary teacher with a passion for teaching!

I taught for two years in third grade and two years in second grade in North Carolina. I am currently awaiting my Virginia elementary education license. I prepared third grade students for the End of Grade state standardized test, in which my classes did very well. As a teacher in North Carolina, I communicated frequently with parents, worked daily with co-workers to review student data for the purpose of remediation, and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of my diverse students. I am a senior studying Animal and Poultry Sciences at Virginia Tech. I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that one should teach using a variety of methods because all kids do not learn the same way and each individual method shows something new each time.
