Once while subbing, I entered a classroom where the students had been allowed to watch Jerry Springer on TV for the last two weeks. I couldn't let this continue, but I saw how emotional the class was about the show. I encouraged them to write their own talk show and told them we would perform it the next day. I find that connecting student's interest with the subject matter to be learned is the best way to teach.
After completing my undergraduate degree in English Literature at Florida State University, I worked as a substitute teacher in Hillsborough County for two years. In 2009, I completed my Master's Degree in Communication at University of South Florida while simultaneously employed at the Department of Special Education. A Little Bit About Me...

I am currently a college student at SPC (St. Petersburg College). I am currently working on getting my general AA degree to pursue my career as a pharmacist. classes I am taking right now are college algebra, chemistry, composition II and world religions. I could help with college algebra a little bit due to the fact that I am still learning. if I do come to a situation in which I do not know how to do the problem I will definitely find out how to do it by the next day in order to teach you. also since I am currently in school I would need to know a time and place that fits in with my schedule. to make this easier, I have one class on Mon. at 7pm...two classes on Tue. at 5:30pm and 7pm...no classes on Wed. or Fri. and have classes Fri. at 11am-12 and 7pm so on Fri.
