My comments on tutoring English ESOL : I have successfully completed the Duval County ESOL training and I have taught ESOL students in high school.

As an engineer and I have taught planners and engineers how to use software to do calculations. I have taught GRE preparation for Kaplan (analytical and verbal reasoning) both to small classes of 3 to 7 students and individual tutoring. English ESOL is one of my top subjects! This is the subject of preference for me. I am TESOL certified, and have been teaching as an ESL/EFL teacher for 3 years in schools in China, and for another accumulated 3 years online as a tutor. I find ESL/EFL teaching to be fun and rewarding. A Little Bit About Me...

I have been teaching/tutoring since I was 15 years old. Throughout high school I taught Sunday school and tutored. For a year in college I tutored at a day care center. I also volunteered with children with the Reading Buddies and Dream Center, a center for at-risk children. I taught school in the Netherlands for three months and served a semester at Joan Walker Elementary teaching kindergarten and third grade. Currently, I am teaching a fifth grade class of 28 students, 10 of whom are SLD.
I try to relate well to and form good relationships with my students. I have learned through my own experiences and through UCF, various teaching styles; however, the most important element in my style is to listen and to adjust to each child and listen to his/her needs.
