Whenever I can, I like to be very hands-on in my teaching my students. For example, once I was teaching my class about trees. I had them go outside and collect samples of bark which had fallen on the ground. Then we created a gigantic mural in my classroom and glued the pieces of bark to a tree we had drawn.

I have earned a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and have worked extensively with and for children including a Case Manager at Clay County Behavioral. I have always wanted to be a teacher so earned my Teaching Certification through St. John's River Community College in ESE and Pre-K through 3rd Grade. I am currently attending ITT-Technical Institute in Jacksonville, Florida for an A.S. in Computer Aided Drafting and Design. I currently have 72 completed credit hours. My college grade point average is currently 3.53. After finishing up my A.S. (six more credit hours), I plan to further my education at Ellis University online for a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Math and Physics. My entire senior year of high school, I tutored Algebra I and Algebra II students. A Little Bit About Me...

From a young age I've always been interested in helping those less fortunate than myself. I've been a mentor, a tutor, a Peace Corps volunteer, and I've also worked as a Hospice volunteer.
