I am a retired teacher with over 38 years of teaching both children and adults with diverse backgrounds. I have a BA and Masters degree in Education with an endorsement in ESL/Bilingual Education. I was a reading coach for 8 years where I taught teachers the best practices in teaching reading. I have taught every grade level and including college level. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching mainly K-8 on a consistent schedule, I have learned that some students need one-on-one teaching. Being the third teacher in Head Start, I had time to work with individual students. All children were very well prepared for kindergarten. The older children, including High School and Middle School, I would walk around the room and aide them when they were confused. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level.
