Elementary Math is one of my top subjects! I am pretty good at math i do different ways to teach it to find out what is easier for the kids to understand

I have plenty that i've been tought so maybe using some of them could help the students understand better.
I am only 19 and i graduated class of 2011. I've had a lot of help when i was in school so i know it can be stressful and tough but i found it a lot easier when i got help from people. Kids may be shy or maybe they just find the work is to hard and there scared to get help but i'm easy and outgoing i don't force kids to do there work. It takes time for them to understand how to work things out how to talk to teachers.

I taught summer school for one summer in the Title I program at Chestnut St. School in West Hempstead. I taught adult education (real estate course) in West Hempstead. I was a substitute teacher in the West Hempstead school district for 5 years.
I use word games, flash cards and drill. I love working with the little ones as they are enthusiastic and show the most progress. Some youngsters need more visual stimulation. Games are a great motivator, as the children are learning without feeling that they are doing school work.

I love math, so I try to convey my love for math on the student. I like to explain things in terms of what they understand and build upon it into the new material that they are working on. I am patient and willing to spend as much time as needed till the information is understood. I make effective use of diagrams and charts to help visualize what students are actually calculating. This helps as a check to see if their work is correct. I try to lean towards understanding over memorization wherever possible.
