Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! I am deaf (in other word "hearing impaired"). I can help with whatever is needed.

Being a residential intensive case manager was the most accomplished life-changing job experience that I have done at Salisbury Behavioral Health, Inc.’s Deaf Services Center based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This experience enriched my knowledge of the deaf individuals with mental illness and their highly demanding environment. As an Intensive Case Manager, I worked with individuals who possess a wide variety of behavioral health disorders and mental illness, in addition to being Deaf and Deaf-Blind and communicate with individuals through American Sign Language. Being an intensive case manager has its advantage. A Little Bit About Me...

I have earned two masters degrees, one in Mathematics, one in Special Education. I have worked for more than ten years in public schools as a teacher. I also have certification in teaching students with dyslexia in two different methods - Orton-Gillingham method of reading, Phono-Graphix method or reading. I am currently volunteering for Dyslexia Tutoring Program and also working as a community outreach tutor for Summit School in Annapolis.
Having worked with a variety of learners with varying disabilities, I have gained experience in adapting my style to support my student to be successful. I believe that all students have their own unique learning style and capability that we as teachers can draw from and help them be the best learners and maximize their potential.
