I am a behavioral specialist with 12 years of experience working with individuals between the ages of 2 and 19 who have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, Traumatic Brain Injury, emotional disturbance, Autism, Downs Syndrome, and other developmental disorders. This is what I love doing, and I have the patience to reteach in multiple ways over multiple days. My teaching style is a very flexible style. I understand that everyone has a different method for learning and I have to adapt in order for the student to learn. Since I've mostly dealt with music for teaching experience, I'll refer to that area of expertise to illustrate my methods. I usually start off with ear training exercises because as a musician this is a must have skill. Then we go over basic aspects of music such as rhythm or basic chords. Eventually, after enough has been learned, I make the class more challenging and try to get the student to think in many different ways and allow them to be flexible with their minds as well.
