Italian is one of my top subjects! Always an admirer of the Italian language and culture (and of Italian descent myself), I starting picking up the language two years ago and have since achieved level C1 (the fifth out of six levels of European language mastery) after living and studying in Italy for three months! I am a third-year undergraduate student at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, GA. My home residence is in Alpharetta, GA so I am willing to tutor in or around these areas and metro Atlanta. My undergraduate major is French, a language I have been studying in school for over twelve years. Foreign language has always been my favorite subject so two years ago I started taking Italian classes at my university. In summer 2011 I spent three months living and studying the Italian language in Italy. I have achieved level C1 in Italian of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), and after twelve years as a French student I can assure that I can communicate and teach effectively in both Italian and French. At Georgia College I volunteer at the university's language lab six hours a week, tutoring my fellow students in these languages.

I have taught children and adults of all different ages and coming from all different backgrounds. This has helped me to create a very versatile style of teaching. For example, I believe that visual learning is very effective with many students. With these students, especially young children, I like to use colorful materials in order to spark interest and encourage creativity. I also feel that a learning environment with few distractions yet full of activities and study aids is key to creating a healthy and relaxed atmosphere. A Little Bit About Me...

I have acquired a wide range of skills through my experiences in teaching and tutoring. For four years I worked with a dyslexic child to improve his reading skills.
