Since a child, I have always been curious of the world around me. My interests culminated with the completion of two degrees in the natural sciences. I consider myself a true inter-disciplinarian, supplementing both my degrees with courses in applied sciences, economics and the arts, to improve my understanding of the connections between science and the world. I also believe this is the reason I have purposed myself as a mentor or instructor for much of my life. I find a true fascination with everyday phenomenon, and enjoying sharing that meaning with others. My teaching style is informal and friendly. I have numerous years as an AWANA teacher of children at church in addition to one year experience as a professional chemistry teacher. A prior supervisor of my teaching style said "a natural teacher that immediately puts the students at ease". My experience starts as a chemist in the nuclear industry, then proceeding to an environmental professional in the manufacturing industry, and finally as an adjunct professor of law for a distance education university. I have worked primarily in the utility industry, with short periods of employment in the aluminum industry and semiconductor industry.
