As a graduate from South Dakota State University, I received a liberal arts education where I majored in Political Science and Global Studies with focus areas of history and religion. In December of 2009, I earned a Bachelor of Arts, which focus’s on the humanities with a heavy influence on writing. Through composition courses and research for term papers, I have come to love the art of writing. Throughout high school and college, I have helped both peers and colleagues find ideas for papers, thesis structure, and the editing process. During my time at the University of Missouri-Columbia, I earned two degrees: a BA in Philosophy and a BA in Theater. In addition to my formal education, I have extensive experience in government relations and health care policy, this broad experience has allowed me to effectively teach a variety of subjects at an undergraduate level. I have taught classes in public administration, public policy and grant writing but also have taught both micro and macro economics, American government and basic web design. I believe that effective teaching should stimulate critical thinking skills. I like to use the Socratic method of teaching by asking students questions.
