Experience Summary
As a graduate from South Dakota State University, I received a liberal arts education where I majored in Political Science and Global Studies with focus areas of history and religion. In December of 2009, I earned a Bachelor of Arts, which focus’s on the humanities with a heavy influence on writing. Through composition courses and research for term papers, I have come to love the art of writing. Throughout high school and college, I have helped both peers and colleagues find ideas for papers, thesis structure, and the editing process.
Teaching Style
Learning is my passion, and helping others realize the importance of education is an important goal of mine. I approach teaching as a helper and guide rather than a lecturer; I feel that most learning takes place when a person figures out the problem on their own with help understanding the theory behind the issue at hand. Everyone can learn, it is just a matter of how and where the learning takes place. As your child’s tutor, I will work hard to help him understand and learn the skills necessary to succeed.
