I began my tutoring experience in the fall of 2009 with a program called Breakthrough Manchester. It serves underprivileged students in the area who do not have the resources to succeed. They ranged from grade 5 to 8. With Breakthrough I worked one-on-one with students as well as in a classroom setting in which I conducted my own lessons. I helped students with a variety of subjects such as science, math, social studies, geography, and even organizational skills. A Little Bit About Me...

I have always loved foreign languages. I grew up in a Polish speaking home so was exposed to different languages at an early age. I concentrated my studies in the French language as a major in college and added Spanish as a minor concentration. I have also studied Polish along the way. I have taught and tutored French and Spanish for 31 years. I have also tutored students in English. I consider myself a linguist and have a broad knowledge of all three languages that I have taught.

I also have indepedent study French students. I tutored a high school student to prepare herself for the SAT's. I am a professional at what I do and believe that a second language opens opportunity to the world.
I emphasize on taking few notes but helpful ones. Speaking and listening is my main focus. Students needs to be able to communicate. Using the vocabulary in real world situations is the key, not just in the context of the chapter of the book.
