A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion for science and learning. I love to take my passion and pass it on to my children. My method of teaching is to take difficult concepts and break them down into something that is understandable. I will not quit until I feel that the children have a good grasp of the material. I know that children have different ways of learning the material. I like to incorporate visual, hands on, and auditory into all of my lessons.
I am currently a high school science teacher, and I have experience teaching biology, chemistry, environmental science, and forensic science. While in college, I tutored many students in history to help with expenses. I also helped my fellow students with chemistry and biology. As a recent graduate of Clemson University, I am very familiar with school and the tools necessary to learn and excel. I graduated with a B.S. in Biological Sciences. This degree has given me extensive knowledge of chemistry, physics, and biology. I also have extensive knowledge of writing research papers, lab reports, and essays. As a tutor, I will be able to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to excel academically.
I love children of all ages. I believe that every child can learn and excel in school. Unfortunatley, all children learn differently and schools do not adapt well. As a chemistry graduate student, I have held the following roles: Senior Teaching Assistant for Undergraduate Organic Chemistry Labs, Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry Major's Labs, Teaching Assistant for Organic Chemistry I and II. I have extensive experience in tutoring; however I specialize in organic chemistry due to my background and teaching style. I have tutored individually, in groups, and even whole classrooms. I have substituted as a teacher for organic chemistry professors.
