I am a graduate student. I have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science. I plan to apply to medical school the next application cycle. I have five younger siblings who were home schooled. During two years of my tutoring experience, I realized that students do better in their classes, when they are excited and interested in the subjects and believe in their own ability to excel. My passion for the business subjects made my tutoring fun, and my students visibly improved their studying habits and their grades. I also used a "watch me" technique to motivate student’s learning. I was doing a little portion of my student’s homework in a fairly fast pace expressing an ease and enjoyment. It appeared to the student as I was having fun. I always adapt my teaching style to fit the student. I am willing to do just about anything to help a student learn a subject, so long as that student is as dedicated to learning it as I am to teaching it. It takes two people working together in order to have a sucessful tutoring session. I have tutored most subjects in both in middle school and high school. My most recent experience was tutoring psychology and spanish at the college level. I do not hold a teaching certificate, but I do love to teach.

I received my BS degree in 2007 in pre-medicine. I majored in pre-professional zoology and I have a minor in biochemistry. I also worked at the Talent Development Center as a tutor for biology, botany, chemistry and biochemistry. I have a strong background in all science courses and maintained a 3.87 GPA throughout college. I have been involved in a lot of activities and feel the best way to teach is to relate to the student.
