While pursuing my Ph.D. in chemistry, I not only taught required general chemistry labs and lectures at the university I attended, I also tutored both college and high school students in various fields of math and science. I have over 7 years of tutoring experience at all levels of biology, chemistry, physics, and math. In addition to one-on-one tutoring, I tutor groups of 2-5 students. Teaching lectures of 60+ students at both SDSU and UCSD has prepared me to effectively deliver material to groups. A Little Bit About Me...

I like starting with the given information and stepping through the processes to solve a problem. Reminding them of, or even showing them, the rules, properties, and examples in the book. I normally try to find the method that best works with each pupil, then highlight on that. I also make sure not to do the work for the student. I will sometimes come up with a similar problem to work through so they can see what's really going on within the problem.
I have tutored Algebra through Calculus I and Elementary Statistics for the last three years. 1.5 years at both Wichita State University and Washburn University. I'm currently working on a second Bachelors degree in mathematics, but this time with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. This mixes calculus, algebra, and statistics, along with some business classes, into one, keeping them fresh in my mind.

As a graduate student at Kansas State University I have learned the value of education. My education in Political Science working towards my BS has given a high degree of competence in math, history, and social sciences.
