I was 14 years old when my younger brother was born, so I had the wonderful opportunity to learn firsthand that teaching requires a great deal of patience, knowledge, and flexibility. My pre-medical school coursework allowed me to gain conceptual and hands-on understanding in the areas of inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and biology. I feel that each child needs to feel appreciated and successful. My sessions include, of course, language, music, or speech, but I also work in philosophy, history, and technology. I feel that students of today are not receiving as much well rounded education as they desire, or need, for the future workplace or self-satisfaction.
