Hearing Impaired is one of my top subjects! Providing tutoring for those interested in learning sign language. I am a verbal Deaf user of Sign Language.

My focus is teaching/tutoring American Sign Language. My experience includes teaching Sign Language classes in ministries, providing Mom and Child lessons, and Providing lessons for early childhood facilities. After building your vocabulary of signed English, we can them move on to learning the language. This stage will include attending Deaf functions to have opportunities to meet and chat with others who are Deaf.

This included providing individual, small group and whole class instruction to students with learning disabilities, emotional disturbances, and multiple disabilities. In my second and third year teaching, I worked at The Guild for the Blind on West 65th Street in New York City. It was a not-for-profit, non-sectarian agency that served persons of all ages who were visually impaired and multidisabled to achieve lives of dignity. I have a master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from MGH Institute of Health Professions, including a concentration in reading. I have completed all courses and the clinical practicum necessary for reading specialist certification and have received training in the Wilson Reading System. I have tutored children in Kindergarten through 9th grade in reading with a focus on phonics and decoding skills and written composition, but also developing vocabulary and comprehension skills.
