I have recently obtained the status of Professional Land Surveyor with the State of Kentucky. I believe each student can learn and it’s my responsibility to find how each one learns best. So much of it is about instilling confidence in the student that he or she is intelligent and capable of mastering the subject. After earning my doctorate in math in 1966, I began teaching at the University of Massachusetts as an assistant professor of math. I was promoted to associate professor in 1972, and continued there until 1977. In 1977 I moved to South Bend to join a Christian community there. I taught part-time at Notre Dame, St. Mary's and IUSB. In 1981 my community started Trinity School, and I taught there from 1981 until I retired in 2007.
