I played reed instruments (clarinet and saxophones) professionally in New Orleans in the late 1970s before returning to graduate school to study chemical physics. I am personal friends with well-known professional musicians and scientists. I taught my children to play reed instruments (clarinet and saxophones). As of November, 2009 I am certified in Oklahoma to teach advanced mathematics (grades 6-12), intermediate mathematics (6-12), mathematics for high school credit (grades 5-8) and physical science (6-12). I have taught a variety of students and feel with correct instruction, individual practice, and dedication all pupils can learn. I am understanding, willing to listen to concerns and repeat instruction if needed.
I have taught 6th - 12th grade math as well as college level math courses since 1999. Those courses have range from general math to calculus. I am currently earning a masters of science in education with emphasis in math.
