I became a scientist because a single college professor ignited my interests in math and science. Everyone is different... we all learn in different ways. My teaching style is to connect with that key way a student likes to learn. I like to make the learning process enjoyable for the student by making the lessons relevant to the student's interests. A Little Bit About Me...

I know the value of a tutor in a young person’s life. As a child I struggled in math, but working with a tutor I overcame my difficulties in this area and eventually went on to complete calculus level two and even become the math club president in high school. I have earned two degrees, a Masters in Business and a BS in Finance which have allowed me to gain extensive skills in math, statistical analysis, finance and writing. I’ve written many research papers and a business plan for a small company which garnered several awards. I have work experience in finance, accounting, and writing and am adept at using most of the Microsoft Office programs to complete projects. I have one year of tutoring experience.

I have taught 6th - 12th grade math as well as college level math courses since 1999. Those courses have range from general math to calculus. I am currently earning a masters of science in education with emphasis in math.
I have taught a variety of students and feel with correct instruction, individual practice, and dedication all pupils can learn. I am understanding, willing to listen to concerns and repeat instruction if needed.
