I described most of that in the above category. I can only add that I taught one-on-one, coached and conducted small ensembles, worked with groups of 100+ as a clinician or guest artist. I enjoyed all these levels of contact.
I was a professor at Ithaca College for 34 years in the music department. In that capacity I taught private performance lesson, coached chamber ensembles, conducted various ensembles. supervised and coached student teachers, performed in a faculty artist-in-residence quintet, performed solo recitals, assisted students in writing essays, resumes, and applications for positions in the teaching field or graduate studies. I have had the unique opportunity through my diverse educational experiences to work with many different types of people. My initial degree is in Social science from Alfred State University. Throughout my education at Alfred State University I truly believe I began to understand and appreciate others and their differences. I received my second degree from Cortland State University in Early Childhood Education with Inclusion. I had the opportunity to work with many different types of children. I also had many diverse experiences while teaching first grade in Florida. In addition to teaching first grade I was also lucky to be able to tutor children from disadvantaged communities and help them thrive in school.

Since receiving a Bachelor's in English and Writing, I have developed many diverse skills in addition to those I learned in school. While working as an editor for a publishing company, I was able to hone my ability to write and communicate clearly through the written word. I have also studied music and art from a young age including such subject areas as piano, voice, flute, cello, ceramics, and photography.
