As a Professional Counselor I have learned to interact with others in a very respectful, sensitive way. It is my job to lead people to conclusions without actually telling them the answer. I believe this is very similar to teaching. I have spent the last 3 ½ years working with parents that have at-risk and out of control teenagers. I had to teach them parenting skills as well as coping skills. I used many different techniques to do so including modeling and role-play.
