I like to take students step-by-step through the process of finding answers to complicated questions. I am a strong believer in teaching the student to think for his or herself. If I'm asked a question, I prefer to help the student find the solution rather than simply give the answer. Through college, I learned that the best way to absorb information fast is to find patterns. This makes for easier recall and allows for the building of an information network on which the student can infinitely append.
I have informally tutored many throughout my time at Princeton University in many different fields within Chemistry. I've found when the subject is also a passion, teaching others to see the reasons for that passion makes learning fun and easy. Chemistry can be a challenging subject - my goal is to change that. Believe in yourself, and you are half-way there!

I have a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I love being able to help students feel comfortable with the material they are studying. I have tutored numerous times throughout college, and would like to get back into tutoring students because I find it to be rewarding. A Little Bit About Me...

I love opening students' eyes to the wonders of science. It is my experience that a student can learn anything, even the most complicated scientific theories, if the teacher is patient and engaging. In teaching, I find the key to unlocking the minds of the students is to find the appropriate analogy or metaphor. If a teacher can aptly relate a concept the student doesn’t understand to one that the student does understand, not only will the student learn the new concept, they will be far less likely to forget it in the future.
