My teaching style is very flexible to accommodate different needs and understandings. I first probe to find inadequacies in the student’s knowledge, then present the material in an easy to understand manner primarily focusing on the student’s weak areas. I am currently a writing tutor and learning coordinator at the University of Michigan. I help to insure that student athletes receive a fair education while they are on scholarship. During college I spent a lot of time volunteering with youth. With a BA in psychology, I have learned to be very calm and patient when working with students. I spent 15 years overseas teaching English Conversation. However, I truly enjoy math. During my years of babysitting I assisted children with different homework. I also spent the summer of 2005 working with the Derek Coleman Hoops Festival in which I had to tutor in both math and reading.
