A Little Bit About Me...

I have tutored before, I am currently tutoring kids at my high school everyday in the subject in which they need help in. My goal in tutoring is to not only to have the child succeed in the course but to understand the concept of the course. My style of teaching is different for each child, because everyone does not learn the same way. Some people are visual learners and with them I focus on teaching them with pictures. Helping children work through learning issues is my passion.

I have 22 years experience teaching public education k-6. I began my career as a special education teacher and then moved into regular education classrooms. I now tutor children from the Zoom platform since I cannot see them in my office due to the pandemic. I have been doing private tutoring for 2 years.
When working from my office, I like to use hands on activities that keep children engaged. Throughout high school and college I helped numerous classmates develop efficient ways of studying as well as providing assistance to learning and understanding the given material. During high school I mainly tutored my neighbor's young children in elementary subjects. In college I helped fellow classmates in my major and minor. The most challenging tutoring experience I had was when my own brother was diagnosed with schizophrenia and he was taken out of school for months at a time.
