I try to fuel motivation by making the assignments fun and purposeful. I hold students to a high standard as preparation for future jobs (no late work, no coming in to class late, etc.) I believe every student can be reached, but that all students are at different levels and require their own amount of one-on-one help, motivation, challenge, and dedication. Once I know what learning style my student is,I manipulate my instruction according to their different learning styles whether they be visual, audio, etc. I am a firm believer that every child can learn, as long as they have the support they need. With 28 years teaching experience, I help struggling students blossom in Math. I love tutoring and can recognize road blocks in a student's mind that we can remove together for successful achievement. High School Algebra and Geometry were the subjects I taught most often, but I have tutored students expertly through courses as advanced as College Algebra. I also have GED experience tutoring in both Math and English, and ACT Test preparation.
