I believe that if a student wants to learn a subject and is willing to put forth the effort, that student has the tools to succeed. Quite often they just need help in "how" to learn. There are a lot of subjects that are intimidating to students. I like to demystify and simplify the subject so that the student has a greater chance for success.

I then moved to the University of Kansas where I completed a masters in Biochemistry and Biophysics. During this time I was a graduate teaching assistant for two years.
