I have been a tutor since high school. In HS I tutored for ESL (English as a Second Language). More recently I have been a Math tutor at Augsburg College. I am proficient in the subjects ranging from pre-algebra to calculus 3. I am pretty good with statistics and logic (Discrete Math) as well. I also have experience teaching younger children as well. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a BA in psychology and have worked for 12 years in the mental health field. I am currently working on getting my Elem. Ed teaching license and have completed all the coursework and have completed my pre-clinicals. I am scheduled to do my student teaching this September in a second grade classroom at Taylors Falls Elementary school. I hold a short call teaching license and have been substitute teaching three to five days per week for the past two school years in five different school district. I have taught and tutored College level Economics, Statistics, Management, and Several Agricultural Economics courses for over twenty years in six different universities and colleges in Africa and in the United States. I also have three years experience of tutoring elementary and high school maths in the US.
At college level, I lecture, write on the chalk board, give handouts, give and grade class and home assignments, and provide where necessary, one on one tutoring supported with several examples. I have always had a passion for helping others learn. In high school I tutored students from different schools in math. After graduating with two bachelor's degrees from the University of Minnesota I began working full time as a financial analyst for Target Corporation. At the same time, I started teaching part time at a learning center. In the past three years I have been able to help students of all ages from first grade through college.
