I graduated recently in Elementary education, so I have a broad knowledge in all subject areas. I got in the top 15th percentile on the Praxis content knowledge test. I am well-trained in different teaching techniques as well as Elementary content because I have substituted in classes from special education, to kindergarten, to sixth grade in small group and whole class. I have also tutored students in a college Biology class, one-on-one, and tutored friends when they needed it. I have also taught piano lessons for two years to various students.
I firmly believe that every child is capable of learning hard concepts, they just have to be taught in a way that is applicable to them. While at Kent I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, and a minor in English with extensive course work in business. Following undergraduate study, I ventured on to complete a Master of Arts in Physical Education. My concentration was Therapeutic Recreation with a focus in gerontology. I taught a class during my graduate assistanceship and acted as a teaching assistant to three professors.
