I have tutored my little cousins with their homework before & also in summer camp activities with kids in general! I love to help out with anything I have knowledge in. I am a god writer who loves to write and also working on a novel currently. My strongest points are composition and I am very wordy when it comes to writing. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. I have tried many styles of learning to see what works for me. I record lectures, take my own notes, like to question myself while I'm studying for a test. I think connecting something to something you already know will help you retain that new information very well. It makes me feel great when I know I have taught someone well and that they actual understand the information and are not just regurgitating what I am telling them.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a freelance writer, I feel it is important that children write well. I strive hard in my classes to help children use their imagination and creativity in writing. My other areas of concentration are reading, spelling, grammar, and language arts, During the last 7 years, I have worked as a substitute teacher for Memphis City and Shelby County schools, in grades PreK-6th grades.

I feel that I can relate to children because I am also a child at heart. I believe in constant verbal quizzing and repitition as a means to develop the child's ability to retain knowledge and call it forth at will. I have learned from past work experiences that all people learn differently be it either visual, kinetic (hands-on), or verbal (by listening). By learning the child's learning type you can tell which method appeals to them and can create a learning environment to encourage their growth at a faster rate. I also have a history in the theatrical arts and vocal music performance which can assist in grasping the child's attention during those times of relaxed focus.
