Drawing is one of my top subjects!

I have been doing graphic Design for 6 years now. I am self taught as well as graduated from college, so I know how to help someone in a hands-on way as well as give them tools in finding the answers that they need to create what they need. I am not a certified teacher, but I am a good speaker and my instructions are easy to understand.
I have always been an artist and taught myself graphics easily before deciding to get my degree in design. I know what it's like to be learning with little to no help and I can not only help with tricks of the trade, but also in teaching someone the tools that they need to find solutions on their own.

I have tutored my little cousins with their homework before & also in summer camp activities with kids in general! I love to help out with anything I have knowledge in. I am a god writer who loves to write and also working on a novel currently. My strongest points are composition and I am very wordy when it comes to writing. I am a biology graduate from the University of Colorado. I am planning on getting my PhD in Molecular Bio-science. I love biology and all of the other subjects withing biology (ie. molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, ecology etc. ) I also enjoy math a lot my degree only required me to complete Calc. I but I went a head and completed all of the Calc. courses (Calc III). I have grade school level kids as well as high school level. I have conducted many study groups with college students. I enjoy learning as well as teaching.
I believe that each student has their own style of learning and soak up information differently then other students. I myself like to learn visually and hands on. As a freelance writer, I feel it is important that children write well. I strive hard in my classes to help children use their imagination and creativity in writing. My other areas of concentration are reading, spelling, grammar, and language arts, During the last 7 years, I have worked as a substitute teacher for Memphis City and Shelby County schools, in grades PreK-6th grades.

I feel that I can relate to children because I am also a child at heart. I believe in constant verbal quizzing and repitition as a means to develop the child's ability to retain knowledge and call it forth at will. I have learned from past work experiences that all people learn differently be it either visual, kinetic (hands-on), or verbal (by listening). By learning the child's learning type you can tell which method appeals to them and can create a learning environment to encourage their growth at a faster rate. I also have a history in the theatrical arts and vocal music performance which can assist in grasping the child's attention during those times of relaxed focus. Lastly, I feel that positive encouragment is key to building confidence and trust in those students with lowered self esteem.
