My comments on tutoring Algebra : My most experienced math subject.

Have been tutoring since 1983, was an Math teacher for one year in an internship that ended when the city went bankrupt. I have done most every math at the under graduate level and some at the masters level with some engineering, physics, as well as some business and management courses with Accounting.
Mainly with visual techniques.

I have had over 3 years of tutoring students in Algebra as well as science. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta where I graduated with honors from LSCS. I enjoy helping students to succeed in their courses. However, most teachers provide just one standard way of learning. I do not believe this is the way that students should be taught. In order to be a great teacher, every subject needs to be taught from multiple perspectives. I believe in my students and that they can succeed if they are given opportunity.
I believe every student can succeed in their courses. Therefore, I follow a different approach to teaching the subject from multiple perspectives not just one standard way of learning.

A Little Bit About Me...

Graduated high up in my class. Math and English were by far my favorite subjects. Always commended on TAKs and any tests I was given. I love school, teaching and learning. I have plenty of patience to be able to teach. I love to help kids that need it because I realize not everyone loves school like I did. I have taken some college and have a couple certificates.
