I believe every student can succeed in their courses. Therefore, I follow a different approach to teaching the subject from multiple perspectives not just one standard way of learning.
I have had over 3 years of tutoring students in Algebra as well as science. I am a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Sigma Kappa Delta where I graduated with honors from LSCS. I enjoy helping students to succeed in their courses. However, most teachers provide just one standard way of learning. I do not believe this is the way that students should be taught. Have been tutoring since 1983, was an Math teacher for one year in an internship that ended when the city went bankrupt. My comments on tutoring Algebra : I have completed bachelors in engineering inducing a minor in mathematics. I have a good understanding of this material!

I have gone through many math courses, including higher level math courses (complex variables, numerical methods, linear algebra ll) during college. I know how to teach students to learn and understand math material so they can walk into a test and apply that knowledge. I also have experience solving engineering problems and using different methods to solve those problems, such as numerical methods.
I like to explain the mathematical concepts I am teaching. I most like to help those that are having a difficulty understanding the material, rather than those that need the answer to one or two problems. I do not mind repeating myself and like to help the student learn.

A Little Bit About Me...

I love helping students understand concepts that seem 100% foreign to them. I teach mostly geared towards visual learners. I tend to use visual and real life examples to push my students to grasp the concepts for themselves. I prefer to make them do the work and answer questions as we move forward.
