I specialize in teaching children 6-12 but can just about show anyone how to play an instrument. I start with teaching them to read music and then we graduate to learning to play music.
I've been playing music since I was 14. I taught myself how to play every brass instrument plus tenor/alto saxophone. By the time I was ready for college I had several options thanks to band. Music has helped open so many doors for me and I would love to spread my knowledge to your child and help them to achieve their goals! Music can also help your child in other subjects they might have trouble concentrating in. So not only will your child come out playing their instrument better but their class work will improve too!

William Cooper has been teaching private trumpet lessons since 2009. William is currently pursuing a Master of Music at Northwestern University, where he also received a Bachelor of Music in 2013. Since 2012 he has been an active performer, playing with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago (until 2014), the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and as a highly-regarded freelance classical musician in the Central Florida region. Other orchestral performances include performances with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. I received a degree in Jazz Performance from The Ohio State University. While there, I auditioned into the top Jazz Ensemble for four years in a row. I excelled to the top of the program, while participating in different ensembles such as the JECO Intercollegiate band for four years. This band consisted of the best players in the state of Ohio. I also had the opportunity to frequently play with the great Vaughn Wiester. From his big band and the university's, I had the opportunity to play with Jazz legends throughout the country. I have also had the opportunity to travel to China for a ten day tour with the OSU Jazz Ensemble, where we had the chance to play for five different cities.
