I am proficient as a teacher and performer on the violin, viola, and cello. I was placed first stand in the Kendall Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Gwinnett County Youth Symphony Orchestra, and in the Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra. I worked at Mathnasium for two years. Mathnasium is a math tutoring center for children ranging from kindergarten to graduating high schoolers. I taught everything from basic arithmetic to calculus. I tutored calculus at the college level. I independently advertised my tutoring services. I mostly tutored Calculus I (not including linear algebra). I work as a one-on-one tutor. It is my teaching philosophy that the best tutor leads the child to discover the answer himself/herself. Thus, I employ various techniques to help the child think about the problem in a different way. For example, when teaching a child to do arithmetic, for example, adding 8, I would tell the child to add 10 and then subtract 2. This leads to quick math computation and a better understanding of math foundations.
