I believe everyone have some music in them. Every student is different. I am a muti-instrumentalist. I have taught in group and in private lessons. I also have many experiences in perform. I perform from small ensembles all the way to solo and large Orchestra and Bands. I teach all ages and all types of students from no music experiences to the intermediate. I really do love music and this is my passion.

I work as a one-on-one tutor. It is my teaching philosophy that the best tutor leads the child to discover the answer himself/herself. Thus, I employ various techniques to help the child think about the problem in a different way. For example, when teaching a child to do arithmetic, for example, adding 8, I would tell the child to add 10 and then subtract 2. This leads to quick math computation and a better understanding of math foundations. I worked at Mathnasium for two years. Mathnasium is a math tutoring center for children ranging from kindergarten to graduating high schoolers. I taught everything from basic arithmetic to calculus. I tutored calculus at the college level. I independently advertised my tutoring services. I mostly tutored Calculus I (not including linear algebra).

I enjoy working with all children. I believe that my teaching should be differientiated to fit the learning style of each student I work with. This is because all children learn differently and i have to use which strategy that works best with each particular student. All children can learn and succeed if they were given the opportunity. As a special education major and history minor, I have learned so much about helping children succeed. I am currently working toward my bachelors degree at Brenau University. I was introduced to teaching as a guitar teacher and loved the field of education ever since. My first school experience was teaching 7th and 8th grade social studies in Queens, N.Y.in 1979.
