My comments on tutoring Life Science : Another name for biology. B.S. Biology

I have a degree in biology. I was planning on going to medical school at one point so I focused on human anatomy and human physiology. I also took advanced mammalian physiology 1 and 2 for graduate credit. I made A's in all of these courses. I took an aquatic entomology course one summer and decided to focus more on ecology and zoology. I have taken invertebrate zoology, aquatic ecology, environment science, entomology, and other courses.
When you study a biological concept your study process needs to be organized. Most of my tests when I started taking upper level courses covered over at least 100 to 200 pages in the textbook. You need to learn how to break it down in to smaller sections while using your notes from class to predict the most important information to know thoroughly for your next test. I have a total of 15 years experience speaking, reading and writing Spanish. I am very familiar with the different Spanish language variants. I lived in Chile for almost two consecutive years, and studied in Costa Rica for a short time. My B.A. is in Anthropology and Spanish, and my M.S. is in International Studies. I currently teach at a local community college. I firmly believe that if a subject seems incomprehensible, nine times out of ten it is the professor and NOT the intelligence of the student. From early on in my high school career I understood that passing AP tests could mean graduating from college in 3 years, saving money for grad school, and a chance to get into the professional world sooner. That's exactly what I did. I had to take some summer school and intersession classes, but I endured. All the while I was involved with an organization on campus that worked to educate the student body on a number of environmental issues, worked with volunteers on events and campaigns, and trained my peers to take the same leadership that I did.
