My comments on tutoring Chess : Will need to brush up myself, so we'll learn together!

One on One is the ideal method for me as it allows time dedicated to the tutored. It makes them feel special and appreciated and also allows time for coaching and motivation.
My experience in Tutoring is a bit fleeting only having done it in odds and ends; non-professionally at best, but as I see progress in others, it inspires ME to grow. Also knowing that I have helped in some small part further encourages me to help out more. I don't have any track record to speak of but I what I hope to provide for those under my wing is a chance to believe, as motivator Les Brown would say, "It's Possible that I can succeed!" A Little Bit About Me...

The teaching style I have is really a mix of all styles. I was exposed to teaching classes as an undergraduate student. One class really taught me the importance of building a teaching style with all of the learning styles involved. Whether it is visual, kinesthetic, audio, or reading, a good teacher will take the time to incorporate all of these into their style. I think this is so important especially when working with children because a child is at a very impressionable age with great imagination. When all of these styles are incorporated it brings the learner a well rounded approach that allows them to stay engaged and adapt to all styles of learning, making them a well rounded student.
