I have been a middle and high school English teacher for over 7 years. My teaching ranges from grammar, composition, reading skills, 9 - 12 grade English, AP Language and Composition, and AP Literature courses. I have also taught Speech, Theatre, and Journalism. I began tutoring while in high school. I worked with children in Kindergarten and First Grade. I continued tutoring children through two Americorps terms with Communities In Schools in Ardmore, Oklahoma. While in college, I worked as a substitute teacher for the elementary schools in the Ardmore area. I now have my Early Childhood and Elementary Education Teaching License in which I am certified to teach Pre-School-8th grade. I worked as a First Grade Teacher at Charles Evans Elementary in Ardmore, Oklahoma from August 2008- August 2009. I worked as a Long Term Substitute at Ridgecrest Elementary in Lawton, Oklahoma from October 2009- May 2010.
