I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I would describe my teaching style as interactive. I use some lecture usually accompanied with power points, but generally those power points include practice reviews with the students. I use games to encourage and reinforce learning, as well as practice tests and group work. Most of my students don't learn well with a straight lecture format so I try to mix it up.

My comments on tutoring GED : This is my specialty. I have MANY Books, websites, printouts, etc. to help. I have worked with a dozen students from high school to 60 years old. I can give references. I can help those who have taken the many prep classes offered at high schools and learning centers, yet still failed to pass the test.

I worked at Elohim Center tutoring the kids at an after school homework center in Hartsville, SC. I also worked at Hartsville School of Performing Arts for a short time period. However I provided assistance to the teachers and mentored the children that had potential, but didn't have the extra push in life to motivate them to be more.
