My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I have student teaching experience in the elementary school setting.

My teaching style incorporates all learning styles, because I am a firm believer that we all learn differently. I am a very patient and passionate teacher. Being excited about the subject is key to being a successful teacher. However, I expect my students to be motivated and to give 100 percent effort to their studies.

Over 20 years of teaching experience as a school music teacher, private piano and theory instructor, and conductor for church and community choirs. I work to make every students meet her goals, thus, each lesson is designed to particular student. I accept students age of 5 up to 70. I guarantee each student to be able to play piano for less than six months. My lessons include also general musicianship as I teach about greatest composers, style, performers, and theory. Every student is different. They all have different experiences and learning styles. Sometimes teachers can just try to explain concepts and ideas the way that they understand things. I like to first ask students questions to help me understand where they are, what they specifically do and do not understand. This helps me to figure out how to help the student. Also in my experience, teachers teach only one method of solving a specific problem and that way may not be easy for that student. I like to explain many methods so the student can choose the method he or she understands. Every student can achieve academic success. They just need someone who understands how they learn in order push them forward and give them the confidence they need.
